Packaging, Logistics & Trading Terms

How we package, certify and ship bulk quicklime. Terms can be adapted by agreement — tell us what your operation needs.

Minimum Order Quantity
1 × 20 ft container (approx. 25 MT) bagged. 500 MT minimum for bulk vessel. Trial quantities available for qualification.
Packaging
25 kg 3-ply laminated PP bags · 1–1.5 MT woven jumbo bags · bulk. Moisture-proof PE lining on request — recommended for humid destinations.
Incoterms & Loading Ports
EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF (Incoterms® 2020). Standard loading Bandar Abbas / Bandar Imam Khomeini; other ports by arrangement.
Quality Certification
Batch-specific CoA with every shipment covering CaO, CaCO₃, LOI and sieve residue. SGS / Bureau Veritas inspection at buyer's cost.
Lead Time
7–14 days for standard grades after order confirmation; 15–25 days for custom-milled or specially packed material.
Storage & Shelf Life
Keep dry and covered, away from moisture — quicklime reacts exothermically with water. Shelf life up to 2 years when stored correctly.

Quicklime — Frequently Asked Questions

What CaO purity is available in your quicklime?
Standard Mesh 70 grade runs 88–90% CaO, fine Mesh 170 grade runs 90–92% CaO, and the high-reactivity milled Super-90 grade guarantees a minimum 85% active CaO with 88% total CaO. Every shipment is covered by a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Which quicklime grade suits steelmaking?
Steel mills typically use the Mesh 70 standard grade as a converter and ladle flux, because the coarser particle size resists dusting during charging. Where fast slag formation matters, the high-reactivity milled Super-90 grade is preferred for its sub-5-minute slaking response and 70°C peak temperature.
How should quicklime be stored?
Store in a dry, covered area away from moisture and humidity. Quicklime reacts exothermically with water, so bags must be kept sealed and off the ground. Under proper storage conditions shelf life is up to 2 years. For humid destinations we recommend moisture-proof PE-lined bags.
What packaging is available for quicklime?
25 kg 3-ply laminated PP bags, 1–1.5 MT woven jumbo bags, or bulk loading. Moisture-proof polyethylene lining is available on request for humid destinations and long sea transit.
What is the minimum order quantity for quicklime?
One 20 ft container, approximately 25 MT, for bagged quicklime. Bulk vessel shipments start at 500 MT. Trial quantities can be arranged so you can qualify the material before a full order.
Do you supply hydrated lime as well?
Yes. If your process needs a stable, pre-slaked product, see our hydrated lime (Ca(OH)₂) grades — available from economy construction grade up to food and sugar-refining ultra-pure grade.
